A Day in Brooklyn

On one of the hottest days of the year, we packed our lunch and our kid and headed to Pier 6 of Brooklyn Bridge Park. This part of the park is chock-full of kiddie entertainment - a small water park, swings, giant sandbox, and slides. We got up at 6 am (we had the rare pleasure of waking up Tiger Cub), grabbed bagels and coffee, and hit the subway.

The walk from the subway station was long but the views were nice.

We had to wait for the water park to open because we were that early. When it did, we were all over it.

Team Orange!

Despite having cooler options, TC was huge fan of hanging out in this sweltering sandbox. Dad was a great playmate while I sat in the shade.

A pregnant mom and a 2-year-old make a formidable ice cream duo. Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory never disappoints.

20-week bumpdate:

All this followed by a three hour nap for the little guy. Definitely a successful day.
