Blizzards and Pedicures

Since baby hasn't shown up yet, I'll just have to keep talking about us.  Boring, I know.

We were actually relieved he/she decided not to make the grand entrance while this winter storm was looming last Friday.   We got almost 12 inches of snow, which isn't too big of a deal for up here, but enough to make these two Southerners nervous about getting to the hospital in a crunch.

We celebrated Valentine's Day a little early because we though we might be doing something like birthing a baby on the real V-Day.  Ha!  That was wishful thinking.

Nevertheless, I took Randy to get a surprise pedicure.  It had to be a surprise because he wouldn't have agreed to it otherwise.  I knew he'd take to it well because he LOVES having his feet touched.

 Such a good sport!

This was great for both of us because Randy got to shed the 32 years of dead foot skin that's been weighing him down and I'm currently in no shape to trim my own toenails.

Just as I predicted, Randy loved the warm swirling water, lower leg/foot massage, the relentless pummeling of the massage chair, and the intense callus removal.  He insists removing the calluses was a medically necessary procedure (refusing to admit he had a pedicure) and should have an insurance code for billing purposes.
